Always use the PLACE command in Pagemaker to "place" your scan
or art into the document. NEVER copy from Photoshop and paste into
Pagemaker. You must have a valid link to the artwork. This applies
to all page layout software, not only Pagemaker. Check your linked objects
in "File - Links Manager". Don’t send files with broken links.
They will not function correctly.
When handing off your pagemaker file to your print provider, it’s strongly advised to use the "save as" command. Within that dialog box, use the "Copy Files For Remote Printing" option. It will gather all linked artwork onto the disk you give your print provider for output. We cannot even attempt to fix problems with your file unless you provided us with all the linked objects. Include all fonts manually. Your print provider does not posses all of your fonts. |
